"I'll See You in My Dreams"

This private commission painting is from 2005. The client asked Clay for a 6-foot tall, heavily textured oil painting of a jazz trio playing upright bass, piano, and guitar. Ten original 18″ x 24″ oil pastel sketches were done in preparation for the painting, and the client purchased one along with the commissioned painting.

"Flamingo"

This painting of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was commissioned by a client of Clay’s in 2009 as a wedding gift for his soon-to-be bride. The wedding was at the Flamingo Hotel, so this was quite an honor.

"Best Friends"

Clay painted this custom painting in 2020. The client and her husband had recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Europe. For their 26th anniversary, she wanted to surprise her husband with a custom painting that recreated the experience. Clay was given access to their vacation photos and used four different photographs to create this scene in Budapest.

"One Giant Leap"

In 2023 Clay was commissioned to paint a unicorn flying through space for a child’s bedroom. The client requested that the painting be able to glow under a blacklight. All of the stars and nebula light up behind the silhouette of the unicorn.
